Ljubljana, January 30th, 2020

The National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADOs) from Slovenia (project leader), Belgium, (French Community), Austria, Romania and Serbia, as well as the Austrian UMIT and Leeds Beckett University from England are pleased to announce the official start for the EU approved project "Sport Values in Every Class Room (I VALUE)".
The main goal of I VALUE is to develop an evidence-based values program for grassroots sport, targeting schoolchildren (6 to 14 years) and their teachers and parents. In the first steps of the project, a fundamental literature search will be carried out by Leeds Beckett University on moral awareness and motives in education and sport settings among 6 - 14 year-old students. At the consortium meeting in Ljubljana, which took place from February 20th to 21st, 2020, subsequent steps were discussed. The central task of the coming months is to develop the content of the education programme.
"The whole I VALUE Team is very pleased to be able to participate in this EU-wide project and to contribute to the education regarding positive values in sports among young children, teachers and parents together with the other partners." said education coordinator and project leader from the Slovenian Anti-Doping Organization Dr. Nina Makuc.
